More Info About Nixa:

“I have been practicing yoga full time since 1984 and teaching since 2001 in NYC where I founded two schools: the Inside Out Yoga School at exhale and the Inside Out Yoga Village For Advanced Philosophical Pursuit. I am known to infuse into asana class the commingled learnings from Rajanaka Tantra in the Goddess tradition of Sri Vidya, Taoist yoga theory from Katonah yoga, TCM, QiGong, and the recipes of Kundalini Kriyas. The works. I am a Master AromaPoint Therapist which is a beautiful Fae practice of curating the inner nature of our beloved plant essences with acupoints and you might find a array of these methods in any one experience of YOU when you come to my class. Since 2016, I’ve offered asana, trained teachers in the history and philosophy of yoga at Whole Sky in Stone Ridge, and I am dear about my one-on-one healing sessions that have always come from my group classes. I love sharing yoga at the highest and deepest levels. It is a lifelong pursuit. Never part time or halfway. I’m pleased to join the amazing faculty at Crescent.”

In NYC she also taught at Pure Yoga, Vira Yoga and New York Yoga. Locally she has also taught at Iris and RidgeWell Fitness and as a lifelong learner, this gentle, authentic, and expanded human is here to uplift and help others grow and heal.

“I identify as an Earthling, a wellness advocate, a teacher and a nature-loving-woman, designing practices for high vibration functioning and radical self care. I work as a licensed aesthetician, aromatherapist, certified home herbalist and yoga therapist. Spanning 30 years in NYC and now in the Hudson Valley, I have accumulated a varied, holistic array of methods and traditions tried and true. In addition to a master’s degree in Holistic Natural Health, I hold a certificate in Trauma-Informed Creative Art Therapy and as a SoulCollage facilitator offer others prompts for their own emergent understandings and growth. I used steeped-in wisdom teachings and radiance practices from the yoga tradition and gorgeous pure aromatic plant essences for healing the physical body, the mood, the mind, the nervous system, and the life force.

“Reclaiming as a ritualist who knows that true vibrant health must include regular emotional and spiritual practices, I blend ancient and modern alchemy, meditation, soulful artistic expression and aromatic science together on your calendar to organize healing daily.

“And…also… again, if you need me, for consistency, education and support.

“Around the globe I lead SoulCollage, yoga, plant essence workshops and high caliber wellness retreats and aim to assist individuals in thriving beyond their challenges.”

She is available for life changing private classes and consultations.
