Friends and neighbors, we are so very excited to host a Warm Data Lab for you. This is an invitation to slow down and share stories and time with your neighbors and community. To arrive as you are, with all your messy complexity and whole selves. Step out of urgency, fixing, and fragmentation, and into a space for collective conversation and entanglement across contexts. Through this practice, we might support the conditions for new awareness and perceptions as we navigate seasons of change.
When we come together to share our stories and listen to one another, we expand our view of life, deepen our understanding of what others in our communities are going through, and perhaps even see fresh possibilities.
What’s a Warm Data Lab??
Warm Data Lab experiences have been described as a “kaleidoscope of conversation,” packed with enriching stories, laughter, and insight.
Warm Data Labs, developed by Nora Bateson, are hosted conversations that explore the interconnections between complex systems. They are not about solving or debating—but about noticing. Through multiple perspectives, we begin to sense the deeper patterns shaping the issues we care about.

About David Brownstein
After twelve years working as a private wealth advisor on Wall Street, in 2002 David extricated himself from this soul-deadening work, and came home to New Paltz for good with his family to realize a life dream – fully sharing in the care and parenting of his three children and creating a small family farm. Over the years, the Brownstein family (Three Suns Farm) have raised dairy cows, goats, chickens, bees, and fruits and vegetables in season. In 2004 David co-founded Wild Earth, a local nonprofit with a vision toward regenerating a living community culture centered around Earth connection. David served as its Executive Director for nearly 20 years until 2023. Today, David is the Director of Strategy & Development at the New Paltz Rescue Squad. He also directs Root Connections (rootconnections.org), where he offers mentoring, coaching, and collaboration rooted in place-based, relationship-first and village-making work and life ways.
About Dani Wilson
Dani Wilson is a macro social worker and Warm Data Host tending to historical patterns that stifle collective vitality. Alongside her deep practice of hosting Warm Data Labs and People Need People sessions, she directs environmental health initiatives and advises organizations navigating deep systemic and ecological transitions. Across all these contexts, she joins with others to examine ingrained perspectives and notice new possibilities. She is dedicated to nurturing the quiet, emergent connections through which humans and systems soften, shift, and respond to a complex world—a devotion carried as a mother of four, grandmother of three, and student in the ecology of life.
About Yvan Greenberg
Yvan is a diviner, spiritual companion, coach, consultant, author, and artist who explores the connections between people, creativity, ecology, and complexity. An ICF-certified professional life coach and Warm Data Host, Yvan draws on storytelling, ecological thinking, mindfulness, and spiritual practices to help individuals and groups navigate a complex world and discover new possibilities.
About Lucas Jackson
Lucas Jackson has spent over 15 years as a farmer and wilderness educator, developing a deep exploration of the living world through direct experiences with land and community. His early work, tending to plants, animals, and fungi on his farm in Vermont, sparked an interest in food systems and the connection between how and what we eat with every other thing that humans do. These experiences lead him to train as a Warm Data Host with Nora Bateson in 2020. Since then, Lucas has supported the work of the International Bateson Institute by organizing trainings, co-hosting Warm Data Labs, and assisting with research projects.
